We got a Wii about a little over a month ago. At first, we only had the sports game that came with it. Out of those bowling is my favorite, although I do like tennis and boxing too. That boxing game will give you a workout! Last week, we got the Wii fit. I'd heard good things about it, and since I wanted some type of exercise to do here at home, decided to try it out. So far I love it! I'm so out of shape that all the exercises on the Wii fit really give me a workout. So far I'm doing 20 minute sessions. I can really feel it in my muscles! How many of you have a Wii? Have you lost weight using it?

We have a Wii that we just got but we've not yet gotten the Wii fit yet. I want to though. We do have a light saber game we bought and it's a real workout. I don't use it enough though to say I've lost weight. I suppose one might, I just don't seem to have the time to play it every day lol. I suppose if I get the Wii fit I'll have to schedule time in to use it. Have you noticed any weight loss? What's the average? Namaste-Anora

Well, I lose very slowly, and I have to start exerising very little at first because of health conditions, so I've only lost 1/2 a pound in this first week using the Wii fit. It's pretty cool though. It checks your weigh and BMI, and tracks it all. Has strength training, aerobics, yoga, and balance exercises. My balance is way off...lol. It asks me the first time it checke my balance if I often tripped over my own feet...lol.

Yes. I have the Wii Fit. The only thing I would advise is that you don't get bored with it and go back to playing some of the games that come with the Wii just to mix things up (the boxing really gives you a heck of a workout!). I have lost quite a bit of weight just by moving around while I am watching TV and am really happy with it. I hear that the Jillian Michaels is not that good but I am excited for the Gold's Gym one to come out Good Luck! Thanks Zelo

Yeah, we mix it up with the Wii sports. They are fun and exercise so it's really cool playing them. I'm going to rent some different games to see if there's anything else I'd like to buy.

If you don't mind paying the 100.00 for it, the Wii fit is great! I actually need yoga and strength training more than the others, but love doing all of it. I think you'll enjoy it.

You have to do more than 20 minutes because you only burn half the calories compared to the real thing. There is a video about it on howcast.com called "How to lose weight on the Nintendo Wii" so I recommend you watch it. http://www.howcast.com/videos/111936-How-To-Lose-Weight-Playing-Wii

I know. I'm working up to it. I have fibromyalgia, so have to start slowly. I actually did 30 minutes with todays workout, so I'm getting better!

I have actually did yoga and balance games more on the Wii than anything else. I know the yoga will help with my fibro symptoms and just overall health. I do like that there are different things to do.

I can relate to the pain issue. My husband is a disabled vet, so he cannot do it for long periods of time, but he's building up to it too. And it's not all about cardio. The Wii fit works very much like circuit training, so even if you do a few minutes in each one, your body is working already. The yoga deep breathing helps stimulate your metabolism, so just doing that will help you a great deal. Namaste-Anora

I got wii fit a while ago and I have lost a couple pounds, maybe 3 or four. It is not as effective as running and other exercises but it is much more fun. I highly recommend it to everyone and good job to making use of it to lose weight. I play lots of the boxing and baseball on wii sports. I suggest you invest in wii fit, which comes with a board that you use and a game, it is very interactive and innovative. Good luck and happy mylotting!

I do have the Wii fit, that's what I've been using this week...along with the sports games. I like all of it so far.

Wow great! We dont have a wii yet but I hope we can get one soon. I think its such a good idea to finally have a console that encourages you to get up and get moving. One of the best solutions to all the obesity issues I've seen so far! :) Well done for gettin into the workout part! Good luck :)

If my son was youngers still, the Wii would probably be the only game system he got. It's got a fast paced strenuous workout, but it's alot better than the other game systems! It has to help somehow.

i don't have the wii just yet, but i definitely wouldn't mind having one.... i've heard good things about wii fit, and it seems like a good way to mix entertainment and fitness together. with all the weight loss and fitness infomercials coming out today i wouldn't be surprised if they came out with heavy weightlifting type games for the wii that can sense what kind of weight you are working out with... now that would be cool.

I'm having fun with my Wii. It is entertaining and gets you moving a little. It's not the only thing I do though. We go walking and we hike whenever we can. I also have an exercise bike I use. I just haven't been doing any of it enough, so am basically starting over.
