What Can You Say About Today's Nursing Profession?

To all new RN's congratulations,but the sad thing is we welcome you to the unemployed world of nurse's.Philippines produces thousands of nurses every year,gee this is scary,coz thousands again is unemployed in the coming months.

My husband is a trauma nurse and has been for many years. He got his education through the Navy and after he got finished with serving, he was a nurse. He was called up to active duty a while back and served a tour overseas at a hospital. He never saw combat.
The nursing shortage in America varies from place to place. There are a few positions open at the hospital my husband is at. In other parts of the country, no nurses can be found. When he was looking for a job in this area before we met, he sent out applications and resumes and got job offers as far away as Florida and New York.
