Ok so TI got sentenced today and got one year and one day. He also had to give up some property and got 1,500 hours of community service. He also got three years of supervised detention and has to pay 100,000 fine. My question to all is that do you think that he should have gotten a harder sentence for having guns that he was not supposed to have. I think that this is good for young kids to see that entertainers are not superhero's and if they do a crime then they have to do the time. I think that it sucks that he had to get in trouble before he did something positive with is life and made his songs more positive. I hope his little fans meaning kids will learn a lesson from this. What is your opinion of the situation?

You know, I would love to help with this discussion, but I have no idea who TI is. I hope to learn by posting here. Good luck as a new member.

although i agree it could be good for kids it could also be bad, suppose he comes out and raps about how he did time like its nothing and portrays prison as something less than what it is. it wouldnt be good to have kids feeling that jail is just a small thing, but i do believe kids seeing this would more likely have a positive result

If I am not mistaken that is all a part of his sentence that he has to be a better role model to kids. I understand that in the beginning it just might because he got in trouble, however you can only keep that up for so long. I also believe that he is a good person and that this will make him into a better person. This will make him into a better rapper, father, husband and everything else. This whole experience will be positive. Everything happens for a reason. People just get wrapped up in the money and make bad choices. This will show children that rappers are not indestructible that they to can get in trouble. Do you not think that TI is a genuine good man is that why you said that or are you just playing devil's advocate? I am interested to know how you came to this conclusion now. Thank you for conversing with me on this topic.
