My older son celebrated his 30th birthday yesterday by treating us to a dinner at a pizza-and-pasta restaurant. "Us" included me, my husband, his wife and her parents and brother and 2 of their (my son and his wife) mutual friends. His gift from us, his parents, was a pair of pants with lots of pockets (like the military combat uniforms). His hobby now is airsoft so I figured maybe he could use it. My younger son will celebrate his 27 birthday this May. He is temporarily posted in California by the company he works for. I'll bne travelling there from the Phil. for his birthday and also for the birth of their 1st child (our 1st grandchild). I had been thinking what I could bring him as a gift. I realize that the older our children become the harder it is to choose gifts for them, moreso if they are better off financially than the parents. Do you find it easy or difficult to choose gifts?
