lately, there was a job posting in a famous classifieds. i applied and got an email with a video demo on how to do the job i was applying for. i was told to lower the cost of the per hour rate depending on the country of the applicant. i.e. lower rates for less developed countries. isn't it disgusting? i mean intelligence also lurks in countries like mine and the dedication of anyone in a job is never indicated by the counrty one is from.
have you encountered online jobs that offer rates lower than what you see in other sites?

I've never heard of asking for lower rates because of the country you're in. Sadly, it's not surprising. It is horrible that businesses want to exploit people from less developed countries.
The thing that I am aware of is that people here in the US are losing jobs and then their jobs get sent to other countries where the big business can get people to work cheaper. People everywhere are suffering and the big businesses continue to take advantage. Everyone should be paid a living wage so that they can afford to live decently. The only problem is that the big business people would have to settle for living more modestly. They would have to give up the vacation homes, the fancy cars, and the yachts.
Maybe you should look at a different site. Are you trying to work from home?

I do the same - my son will go to school next year. Here are the places I write for: helium.com, reviewstream.com, and associatedcontent.com. Those all require a paypal account. I didn't see a country requirement on any of these.
There are also tasks much like the ones on mylot at mturk.com. They are small, but I can do a few while my son takes a nap - they are only a few pennies, but you can find tasks that really don't take any thought. You can convert them to an Amazon gift card. It's not a lot, but it adds up over time.
PM me if you want more information or help with any of these - I can explain it in more detail. If I see anything while I'm searching for myself I will let you know. Good luck!

Your absolutely right Ritchelle most companies not only online jobs most real life full-time companies also do such things it all depends of the employer there are some employers out there who woutld do anything to maximise their profit no matter how much their expenses are all they want is make huge profit without even concidering to minimise their expences and there are employers like that who would tell you to lower your cost from the countriy your from cause they dont want to pay you the worth of the work you do they wanna pay you less and get more for themselves and i think no one should work for these type of employers cause the ones who work for them are the employees without them they are nothing surely they cant be in business if it isent for the employes and i think they should be paid a reasonable amount.
