Will it be possible to remain happy and cheerful all the time It might be correct to learn that one has to develop calm and peacefulness in order to be happy all the time. But how easy is it to nurture such instincts all to one's person.? If you are healthy, worry free, financially stable and lucky YOU are definitely fortunate enough. But how could one laugh out loud amidst pressing problems? Hence can anyone suggest a panacea for alleviating suffering and thereby bring in HAPPINESS aplenty.?

If you were happy all the time... you would not be happy because you would be searching for something else.
You need to suffer in order to appreciate happiness when you come out of your suffering.
Human nature dictates that we cannot sit still and be happy with what we got. We constantly need new challenges to make our life worthwhile. The suffering part is a necessity to slow us down and make us appreciate what we have.

Most of our problems are caused by our wrong choices.
Some are caused by bad luck... and you cannot do much about that... except accepting your faith.
All in all... make the right choices...
And you should spend more time being happy than depress.
If you think your life suck...
Sit down and analyze why your life suck.

When you learn to trust God, you will know that happiness is a choice. You can choose to worry over this and that or you can choose to give it to God and be happy. For a long time I did not understand what people meant when they spoke about giving things to God, but it literally means to act like what ever is happening is God's problem and not yours.
The Bible says that the battle is the Lord's anyway. There are times when I get upset about this and that and then I remind myself to give it to the Lord and as soon as I do, everything is fine and I am happy and at peace once again.

Learning to trust God is a process. It does not happen over night. As you trust him with little things, he will prove himself to you. Then you will be able to trust him with more and more as time gos on. The more that you trust him, the easier it will be for you to surrender to his will for your life. God loves you and he longs to show you a better way.

Problems are no problems if perceived so. A person suffers because he is too deeply engrossed in the problems and hence fail to be able to see things from another angle. In a way it it is an attachment to the problem itself. Some people just feel the need to be attached to problems. If we are able to view the problems as challenges and not dwell into it, we will be able to overcome it as what Napoleon says - Whatever can be conceived can be achieved. By the same token, if one keeps affirming the problems, the problems remains and if one insists on suffering, suffering will be on its way. To capitalise on the law of attraction, the way is to be optimistic and see things positively from another angle.

I don't think most people are happy all the time. If you're happy or content this minute, that's great. Check in on yourself now and then and without considering all your circumstances, ask yourself if you're happy at that moment. I've done that and no matter how depressed or stressed I am in general, at the moment I'm doing good -- feeling happy.

what to say ? just a good question :)
To Be Happy all the time !! it would be something good, but, i may sound stupid for u but i don't recomend you too even try it,
what does happiness can be if we don't know what is to be sad.
i mean life is like this, we know something called the good because ther is the devil
a day because there is a night
you will never feel happy if u don't know how does it means to be sad and unhappy
i just have a lot of things to say but my english is really bad, i hope you understand.
one last thing to say
Just enjoy what ever life bring to you.. better to consider everything as a new experience, :)

In my understanding of the meaning of the word, I doubt that happiness is possible all the time. But I believe one can be content, even joyful at all times and in all circumstances.

Some people are happy go lucky types that seem to stay happy nearly all the time. Even when something bad happens to them they bounce around with a happy smile. However most of us stay happy only when we have good health and good luck. It is excellent to be healthy but that alone is not enough. We all have our own worries and those of us that are financially stable don't appreciate that very much. When I went around the world I was happy most of the time but when I fell down an open drain and hurt my leg I was miserable. I think that every person in the world should be grateful for all they have especially good health.

i know its very difficult to laugh at the times of difficulties, but there are wasy u can make your burden lower down, you can vent them out with your friends and then find reasons to laugh, we have soem youngers who may be sad seeing us like that, so we must try to be happy as much as possible, that makes us strongand makes life easier too.

A person can't be happy all the time or it is not true happiness, it is boredom. We cannot appreciate the sunshine without the comparison of the darkness, we don't appreciate the springtime unless we've shivered through the winter. How, then, can we truly be happy without adversity?

WE can never be happy all the time but we can always be positive. What is mean is being happy all the time could not be achieved because it depends on happenings around us. If we are into deep trouble we can't of course be happy and smiling all day long. Of course we have emotion and that emotion goes with what problem is besetting us. However we can always have hope despite the bad situation we are in by always thinking that after the storm there is sunshine. And if one will always look up and realize there is God, there is no reason why we can't remain positive. While it is true that happiness can't be achieved all the time, joy could be. And joy comes from knowing God in the truest sense of the word. Knowing and believing in God and in what He could do for us brings brings joy and the joy of the Lord gives us strength to have strength to pass the tests of time and remain positive despite the odds. Yes in this life there could be tribulations, there could be tears, there could be troubles...but it is a joy to know that there is Jesus who will never leave us nor forsake us.

Hi sukumar! I think it would be great to be able to be happy all the time. I think that to appriciate happiness we must understand what it is to be sad sometimes. I think that our trials in life define who we are and that when we feel sadness it's the happiness we strive for. I think that appreciation for who we are and what we have accomplished will bring happiness a plenty.

Rather than being happy and cheerful all the time, it is sadness and gloom that have gained prominence.Bad luck.....what else to blame ? Thanks for the response.

It is'nt neccessary to have calmness and peace around you to be happy, Its only how you feel about things around you, and its a bit hard to learn to be happy always but once we learn, it becomes a way of living...
Happy mylotting!!!

I do not concentrate on problems but rather on solutions and learning to become better at the things that I try to do. This seems to be working for me and I am even getting my fingers to work properly so I can play the piano. Cheers!!

Well there isn't one universal panacea for this problem. It is hard, unending work. It starts with faith and believe though. You need to believe that you are happy, I read once some where, that your subconscious will believe anything you tell it if you tell enough times with emotion. So if you keep telling yourself out loud you are happy and why, and that nothing will get you down. Eventually after a few years it should become a part of who you are.

Having opposites are in these world of ours. Nice to be happy and cheerful. But precisely not all the time. We have our ups and downs cant deny it. Even though we have the riches we still have the many difficulties. Just having it in other ways or forms. Not healthy enough to be in the state of happiness always. Life has to be equal in anything...
