How many Live Journal accounts do you have?

Hi there. I was just wondering, as I've just been reading a discussion about trolls and how to avoid being scammed when buying and selling through LJ, just how many live journal accounts does the average LJ user have. I, personally, have only one account where I post everything - personal entries, various fandom-related entries, fan fiction, sales posts, etc. - since I like the idea of having everything in one place. However, I know of a lot of people who seem to have separate accounts for almost everything - writing journals, selling journals, download-sharing journals, etc. So, fellow myLot-ers and LJ users, how many separate journals do you have on LJ and what do you use them for?

I have one as my anonymous journal and a new fandom (with the occasional RL post). I deleted another one last February. I have my scanlation journal, but since I don't want to log-in and log-off all the time, I made it into a community with me as the only poster.

Hi there. Since you used the word "scanlation", I'm assuming you're an anime/manga fan..? Nice to meet you. I'm one too. Out of curiosity, what's your current fandom? My friend and I also have a community wherein we do round robin fics. It starts with someone posting a couple of paragraphs worth of the story and then the next person tries to continue where the other one left off and so forth. It's easier than creating a separate journal for that purpose since, as you pointed out, it's quite troublesome switching journals every so often.

Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn! I only have one LJ account, as a rule I tend to keep my fandom/personal stuff on there and I also have my account F-Locked so, unless I make a point of making a post open it's private.

Hi there. Maintaining a single, all-purpose LJ account is convenient and, as I've mentioned, something that I do too. My LJ is also semi-friends locked, in that I leave stuff like fanfiction and download sharing links public while keeping more personal posts friends-locked.

I only have one livejournal. The journal is just my personal journal. I only write about things that go on in my life and stuff. I don't use it for anything else. I'm not sure I could handle two journals. I can barely keep up with the one journal that I have now.

Hi there. Well, LJ is a good place to keep your personal diary online, especially you know how to friends-lock or privatize your entries.

I don't have any LJ accounts but have a couple of friends who do. I believe they only have one account each. I'm a Blogger and one Blogger account can have multiple Blogspot blogs and I have, I think, 5 for different purposes :) The main one is the blog that I have on my profile :P Thanks for the response on my discussion!

Hi there. Well, I actually joined LJ to keep up with my various fandoms and interests since the community-system really works for me. It's good that you still manage to keep five different blogs with the same account in Blogger, though. I wish LJ had that option.

Hi there!I have two livejournals. I use the first one to read magazine translations and interviews; download guestings, MVs, and songs as well as snag photos, wallies, icons, etc. from other users; and most especially buy JE stuff, my collection will not be possible without the help of these sellers. I was also scammed once because of LJ. I use my other LJ for selling stuff, particularly rare NEWS singles as well as accepting pre-orders for new releases of JE groups as well as concert goods.

Hi there. So your journals are more buying/selling oriented? I usually use e-bay for selling, though when I really get desperate, I post stuff I want to sell on news_jpop or je_philippines. I've sold a couple of CDs and a calendar through those communities. I've never tried buying, though, since I'm not really comfortable sending money or whatever when it isn't secured (in e-bay, you could at least file a claim/complaint for non-delivery of items). I think I've seen a post in one of the JE communities about tips on how not to get scammed and stuff. It's even riskier for international transactions. Anyway, if you'd like to be friends on LJ too, my username is ryuuen_kurai.

I have about 6 LJ accounts. One account is for when I rant and talk incessantly, one is for my boyfriend and I, another is for my poetry & writings, one is private (no one else can access it), one is for story info on different topics ... the other used to be for my kids, but I don't write in the one since I combined it with my primary account.

Wow, that's quite a lot. Just out of curiosity, how do you manage to keep track of everything that's happening in each journal? I know I wouldn't be able to.

After a very long hiatus, I just re-registered with LJ this evening. :D I normally only need one account..any more than that, and I get confused. Here's hoping that I don't get caught up in any more LJ drama like I did a few years back.

I have two accounts. One is my regular blogging account and another for testing layouts. I usually take time tweaking layouts so I don't want to disturb the layout of my regular account while testing.
