This is fun to read other people's responses. Here is an off the wall one, maybe. I liked the Jingles show from Canada. We were able to get CKLW TV channel 9 in Detroit. Jingles was so much fun. He had Herkamer Dragon and Cecil B. Rabbit on his show and it was set in a castle. I also like Captain Jolly during the week and Poop-deck-Paul on the weekends. They played Popeye cartoons every evening while mom was cooking supper.

Depends on what age you mean for childhood. As a youngster I watched The Friendly Giant and Mr. Dress-up (probably Canadian shows) and Captain Kangaroo. When I got older I liked The Brady Bunch and the Partridge Family and into my teens I liked Family Ties and Happy Days.
I am the youngest of five and we are spread apart quite a bit in age. So I basically grew up alone and tv, Barbies and baby dolls were my only source of entertainment. So I am still a tv nut to this day.
So parents, don't let your kids watch too much television; it could stick with them the rest of their lives!

I watched a lot of Nickelodeon. I also loved the Disney cartoons that came on Saturday mornings. I have so many that I loved. Gummy Bears, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Chip & Dale, Duck Tales. I also loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Tiny Toons.
As a really young child my favorite was Sesame Street of course
