Did you turn of your light at the evening of March 28 for the earth hour ?I lived in Central China. I turn off my light and my computer form 20:30 to 21:30 last night, but I failed when I try to persuade my classmate and my friends. What abut you and your friends? Did you turn off your lights last night?

Actually, I turned all of my lights on. It was just my way of protesting the insanity of the whole thing. :D

We were a couple of minutes late in turning off the television because we were watching something I had taped during the week. It was almost over so I insisted on waiting until it was over. But we kept the lights (computers, televisions, dryer) off later than 9:30 and probably a bit more than the one hour. Our whole street was in darkness but I think it should be done more than once a year.
This year was a bit of a bust. We light a bunch of candles on our dining room table and play a game. The rules were a little complicated and the whole thing ended out with my teenager having a giant fit. We only managed to play one round of the game since we spent so much time trying to figure out the rules. DD flipped out at the end of the first game and the hour was up so our "family night" ended.

I actually didn't hear about this or I would have actively participated. I kind of did participate because all of my lights were out when I left home to go out for the night to hang out with my friends, but I didn't do it specifically for earth hour.

This time it was done, every electrical appliance was switched off and we had to use only a charged lamp(its an electrical item as well, but there was no moon visible yesterday,so had to take that little support). And after the one hour, the life was back to normal.

I participated in it. I just turned off lights in my house. I love my country, people and its resources. So , i think this is a favor that we can do to our country.
My neighbors too did the same.

You know what I completely forgot about it. We were out and when we got home it was half way over with. My daughter remembers last year she was at a friends and the kids just sat around and told ghost stories. It is funny though because kids today seem to go crazy when the power is out cause they reply on it so much whereas when we were kids it went out all the time and nobody went crazy.

Hello my new friend. I did not turn off the light between the specified time, but I did turn it off when I went to bed as always. I could not turn off the light as I still need light to enable me to work at that time. Well, I think that the most important thing for us to do is not to waste electricity in the usual time. If we could take good care of it, it is more meaningful than just to turn off the light on March 28th. Yes? Let's work hard to save more energy for our nature. Thank you for being my friend. Take care.

I failed to do it as i didn't know the earth hour before. Now i learn it from you, so meaningful the activity it is. I will tell all the people around me. Next year there may be a little more group of people participate in it.
