Does anyone remember RIVER PHOENIX?

He's this actor from the late 80's and early 90's who starred in various movies. He's also the brother of Joaquin Phoenix. My favorite movies of his are "Stand By Me" and "Running on Empty". Those are really wonderful films and they still remain as my favorites to this day. It's a pity he had to die young... he could have been a much bigger actor than Tom Cruise or Brad Pitt.
So, does anybody else remember him? What do you think of him?

I know this star from you now. i feel sorry this wonderful actor left away. There is always a corner for these people in our mind. I like watching movies very much, but i always can't remember the name of the actors. It should be i pay no attention on it. maybe i have ever watched his movie, just can't seat by number.

He was a wonderful actor and i personally miss his movies and bummed out I can't see him in any new movies. my favorite movie that he was one of the major actors was "Mosquito Coast". The other major actor Harrison Ford.
