You have been attacked by malware, this is serious, it comes up like an anti virus right? There must also be an icon in the bottom right .
Download a software called Malwarebytes anti malware, update it and then scan your pc the malware will be removed.

This is a Mylot/Firefox glitch that somebody wrote about yesterday. As long as you have a decent commercial antivirus program running, I wouldn't worry about it until April 1 when the Conficker virus is supposed to hit. Since you recently purchased your laptop, there should be Norton on it. That's not my favourite, but it does work somewhat. I'd definitely think about something like Trend Antivirus (PCCillin). I'v been using them for over 20 years since I worked on mainframes and have never been hit with a virus.

It just showed up in the past couple of days, so I would give them a week. I don't know if Mylot did an upgrade, or it's because of a Firefox upgrade. What I read is that it's an incompatibility between certain types of scripts and the browser. Make sure you have Microsoft's automatic update turned on so that MS can keep your Windows up-to-date every Tuesday morning.

i have my microsoft upgrade thing check every night at midnight so it should stay up to date.. i went to see just in case on these patches i heard about with that april 1st virus and none of them were needed on my pc so i feel SOMEWHAT safe lol.. it hasnt done the virus thing since i upgraded my firefox so i wonder if it was the older version of firefox messing up with mylot?!? at least it didnt happen ALL the time.. just 3 times within like several hours..

To be frank I an mot getting this and also can tell you that it is because of their technical problems that you are getting this redirecting note. I too had got hrom Yahoo mail but no virus thing had attacked me.
Be assured nothing untoward would happen to you.

I don't know that, have you tried to upgrade your antivirus? or have you tried to use another browser on signing in on Mylot? if you try to use another browser and the problem still exist, then it must have been your computer who is having a problem. See to it that your anti virus is updated specially there is another coming virus on April 1.

You are not the only one. Actually I was starting to think that maybe I was the only one as I had something like this happen to me earlier today in here as well. I do have McAfee that is included for Free with my ISP so I know I am protected, but I had to go back to an earlier time with my Computer to turn that thing off as well. I wish myLot could keep this from happening to more of us here for sure.

This was happening to me a couple weeks ago, but I haven't been on much lately so I don't know if it's fixed or not. It's actually a worm site and if you allow it to "scan" your computer it tells you that you have a virus. It also tells you that for like $30 it will sell you the program to get rid of the virus. DON'T let it do a "complete" scan and DON'T buy the program. There's a way to delete it if you search the web for the software that it tells you to buy (and the web answer is actually free). I've had to get rid of this a few times because it's kinda hard to stop once it gets going... Be careful. It's really a shame that something like that is going on here.

That's reassuring!
I never understand the stuff about viruses
I just trust AVG to keep them at bay

I haven't had that problem. Maybe it's because I use Firefox instead of other web browsers? I'm not entirely sure, but most pop-ups aren't opened by Firefox and Internet Explorer is pretty lenient with pop-ups.
My advice is try using another web browser, preferably Firefox.
