it is palm sunday on April 5 and it is the start of holy week. i love holy week for it is a chance to look back, recollect and pray. I also enjoy watching movies and live stage plays here in our church of the life and sufferings of Jesus Christ. i also make the way of the cross with my children. so dont forget to all catholic members of mylot april 5 is palm sunday.

Thank you very much for reminder... eversince i stopped teaching... i lost track of all the holidays and important days of obligation... i bought a Catholic calendar... but i would always miss some dates... so it is good to be reminded by someone from time to time... when i was younger... i used to go to seven churches during Holy Thursday... but it has been years since i did that... i hope i can do it again this year...

we too, we go as groups with all of our cousins. and slowly the numbers get smaller every year. some got married and some went abroad to work. i was one also of those who can no loner be with that yearly Bisita Iglesia. now that my children are old enough we do the way of the cross . thanks for the response

What a symbolic day this Palm Sunday is...
Now if the palms of each other were connected as in hands across the world, the need for the lies would be abolished and a new day would dawn...
I'd say it is time for some soul searching as the rulers of old have again been celebrated in their conviction of an innocent man.
May the peace beyond human understanding be with you and yours as a blessing for this season.
The tables are turned again and again, the old foundations will crumble a new day will soon dawn...

thanks for reminding me. you are such an angel. i was so busy and lost track of what day is it. i can not even remember that ash wednesday passed already. we always go to church early on a palm sunday so it is not yet that crowded on the church. now i will put an alarm on my cell for me to get reminded.

I miss celebrating Holy week in the Philippines. The last time I was there in the Philippines to celebrate was 6 years ago. I do miss it very much but air fair is most expensive during the season of summer specially Holy week. I am sad for I can no longer practise my catholic beliefs but I still pray.
