What happened in your city during Earth Hour ?

In my city,some tall buildings' lights were turned off .They are all taller than 100 metres.I think this is a good sign that we can benefit our envionment.This can raise people's awareness about saving electricity and global warming.Earth Hour uses the action of turning off lights to let people know that the need for action on climate change.During that hour,I was in my lab,we

i've just watched the news on tv and the secretary of energy said that the Philippines had contributed at least 600 Megawatts of energy from switching off light from 8:30 pm up to 9:30 pm. the count down was held in SM Mall of Asia in Pasay City.
during those hours, since it's earth hour, i switch off my computer and turned of the light in my room then i went outside and observe my town if every one will contribute to Earth hour but sad to say that only 10% of the total residence, establishments had contributed, i had seen 7/11 convenient store switched off lights despite it's a business establishments. i give 7/11 a thumbs up for that.
some people really don't care at all from a simple yet effective effort in saving Mother Earth.

in our city, mostly of the establishments participated the earth hours but here in our village few participated on this environmental program which i was disappointed because i never thought people here won't participate. i turned off all our lights to them to follow but i was wrong because they don't even turned off just one of their lights. Maybe they were not aware of it and the more important is there are still who participated the program especially those big establishments. At least they inspired some small establishments to participate too.
