What genre of music you love the most and why????

Glad somebody is talking about this. Very few people here who talk about music... Well jazz is nice. But the genre I like really depends upon my mood... Sometimes I like hard metal, I listen to LP and metallica. And sometimes when I'm in a calm mood, I love soft music (I guess everyone does...). And when I'm thinking deeply about something, I would love to hear Indian music. Thank you for this discussion... Happy mylotting...

My favourite music is Reggae. It must be because I grew up around it, my parents are from Jamaica and I just love it. I am also a recoring reggae artist. So you can visit my music at www.chatta.ca ... it makes me dance, it moves my spirit and once something moves your spirit, that is good enough reason to say yes I love this genre of music. When it is a part of someones culture then it is loved. I can understand it, but if someone who listens to rock would have a hard time, just as I have a hard time understanding what is being said in rock.

Mostly, I like alternative rock, but the meaning of that genre has become extremely vague over time. I love alternative rock from the 90's and early 2000's, ranging from Nirvana to Fuel to Linkin Park. However, that genre has become sort of dreary for my tastes, as bands like Nickleback and Breaking Benjamin have popped up all over the place. I love industrial techno, like Nine Inch Nails and KMFDM, but some of the bands in that genre are pretty bad, haha. I also love techno as a genre, specifically drum and bass and even synth pop like Ladytron. Strangely, and I know this doesn't relate to the other genres, but I really love Persian folk music. There's a streaming radio station called RadioDarvish, and I listen to it all the time!! The songs are almost magical and hauntingly sad.
