In my city ,some tall buildings' lights were turned off. These buildings are taller than 100 metres and are ususlly splendid at night. At that hour, the whole building was totally black.I think this action of turning off lights can deliver a powerful message about the need for saving electricity energy. This can raise people's awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. So happened in your city at that hour?

My city acted like earth hour didn't exist. Tulsa is not very earth friendly. I am ashamed to say I didn't even know about earth hour and until it was too late. I read the article about it on Yahoo and wish that I knew. My husband and I try to do everything we can to be earth friendly.

i am sure most of my city cooperated in earth hour. myself and my daughter lit candles (enough to read by) and i enjoyed watching the news this morning on how many of the world's landmarks were 'turned off' for that hour. too bad we dont do it more often.
