My sisters and I, together with our mother and our nanny went today to visit the MV Doulos "The World's biggest floating bookshop". It's also the world's oldest active ocean-faring passenger ship. In fact, it's just two years younger than The Titanic!
I heard that The ship will be retiring soon and I believe that this will be the last time it will be docking in the Philippines. Awww...
I enjoyed visiting the Ship!! It's fun to see a mixture of cultures in that ship. I saw foreign crew volunteers which made me remember my exchange student experience...awww... I really like it when I get to meet people from other countries. :)
Share your MV doulos experience here!!!
Any Doulos volunteers are welcome to share their experience here as well. :)

I really want to go to there. But unfortunately i have been busy because of the finals and we need to rush things to get on time. It's a good thing that it has just ended. Finally i can go visit the MV Doulos. I like to experience he different culture of the world because i haven't traveled anywhere but in the Philippines. I don't know what date will it depart from the Philippines, but i think its about may or so. I don't wanna miss the opportunity of being in the MV Doulos and experience its greatness.
Hopefully i can go there for i do not know exactly where it is (Y_Y) can u help me out?? I'll appreciated the help very much. ~_^

It will leave Manila tomorrow. If I'm not mistaken it's headed to Cebu, Philippines. Check out their site for more info. http://www.mvdoulos.org/

Yes, it was back in elementary days when i visited M/V Doulos. The port was just near our home so it's easy access for me, aside from the school activity where we were required to visit the floating bookstore. I'm not sure but i think there was a little fire accident when Doulos was docked.
