scrambled eggs

Eggs are one of the cheapest foods we can eat. For the most part I don't really care for eggs. So, if I cook eggs they are usually scrambled. That way I can add things to make it a bit different. Right now I'm eating some eggs scrambled with diced potatoes and cheese. I also like to add salsa to scrambled eggs. Do you add anything to your eggs?

I add cheeze and have added a little honey for a change in taste. Also have made the casseroles with the hash browns , eggs, cheese and suasage in it. Makes a good meal. I have even eaten scrambled egg sandwiches with a little mustard on the bread.

I have made sandwiches on occasion too. I put a bit of mayo and ketchup on mine. I also will add a slice of cheese.

Scrambled egg sandwiches are awesome. I usually add mayo and some cheese. Sometimes I'll have a scrambled egg sandwich on dry toast with cheese.

I love scrambled eggs too. I love it plain, with just a lil salt and pepper or with lots of other things in it. But then I was diagnosed with high cholesterol levels so I avoided the yolks as much as possible. I stick to the eggwhites. When I fry my eggwhites, I like adding soy cheese and dried herbs. When I make some for my hubby, he likes it with sweet pepper, peas, any sort of meat/poultry (ground beef, sliced turkey ham, italian bacon, ect). We love eating that anytime of the day, not just breakfasts. Happy Mylotting!

Are scrambled eggs without the yolks as good? I've never had soy cheesed. How does it compare to regular cheese?

its basically just fried eggwhites. It does differ in taste, especially if you are very mindful of the yolk-ish taste. But for me, it does not matter much. Its better than not eating eggs at all. Besides, the flavor of the stuff that I add on it compensates. As for the soy cheese, I love Galaxy Nutritional Food's Veggie slices. It is available in swiss, cheddar, mozzarella. They also have shreds and spreads. I wouldnt know its soy-based, if I hadnt read the facts on the package. Its good on sandwiches, pasta, and yeah even on scrambled eggs.

I suppose that if you add to the eggs, you wouldn't miss the yolks as much. If you can't taste the difference in the soy cheese it must not be too bad. I may have to try the spreads.

I like to add parmesan to my scrambled eggs, but haven't done it so much lately, as the taste of it can get old. I've been trying to figure out new ways of incorporating eggs into major family meals, lately, in case it becomes necessary due to our financial situation.

I haven't tried parmesan cheese on scrambled eggs. Sounds interesting. I love parmesan cheese on pasta. We have also had eggs for other meals. The kids love to have breakfast for dinner. They like to have scrambled eggs with hotdogs cut up in them. Once in a while we'll have that for dinner. Scrambled eggs with hotdogs and cheese, applesauce on the side and toast. They love it.

Scrambled eggs are a good inexpensive food. I normally make mine more like a scrambled omelet. I add some onion, mushroom, cheese, and some bacon, sausage, or ham. Some days I will just make them plain and eat them with some grits too though.

I had never actually seen grits until I went to Alabama. I hadn't heard of them until I watched "My Cousin Vinny".

Usually when I have eggs, I eat them pretty simply. Although, there are times when I add bacon, cheese and tomatoes. Mostly I do that whenever I'm trying to make an omlete. I don't know that I've ever tried doing that with the eggs being simply scrambled eggs. I might have to try that sometime.

To eat plain eggs, I have to at least make a sandwich of them. I do love egg sandwiches though.

I find scrambled eggs a little too plain. But I will happily make an omelette - which is basically the same recipe - and I'll add ham, chees and mushrooms. Or I'll make a quiche - which is the same recipe again - but you put the mix into pastry casing and add whatever you like.

Ah yes, Let us not forget the mushrooms. I love mushrooms in scrambled eggs or omelets. Unfortunately, I am the only person in my home who likes mushrooms. Still, a mushroom and swiss omelet with a english muffin just can't be beaten.

I used to eat ketchup on my eggs but I've stopped doing it. Instead, I usually add salsa on top of my eggs.

What kind of cheese? I like cheddar but American melts better. But if I am adding salsa, it has to be cheddar.
