hi all,
May i know what will you do if your internet connection is down?
1)will you wait till it is up again or you will just go to another place such as cybercafe or friends house to access the internet?
2)Or will you dispute to the internet service provider until they resolve the issue?

I hate it when it down.Well, the first thing that i do is to call my provider and report the problem. Then, i go to a nearby cybercafe until the connection is already fix.

Well I don't like to go to Cybercafe. I have just visited it only few times.
When my internet will be down and it is necessary to have internet then I might log a complaint to the service provider and then go to cybercafe.
Otherwise I might just complaint and follow Service Provider to solve my problem as early as possible.

Well while my internet is down I will use the time to do extra things around my home. I have plenty to do here at my home besides the internet. I will just wait til it is back up & running & take advantage of doing other things while I wait. But the only time my internet is down is if the lights go out which is seldom.

I had this happen to us a year ago, with our former internet company. We always had a problem with the internet signal every month and most of the time, we had no internet connection stretching from a few days to a couple of weeks. Because we live in a subdivision, and there's no available internet cafe nearby, we have decided to have our own internet connection installed. If we have no internet signal, we have no choice but to wait for the company to resolve the problem.
But with our bad experience with that internet company, we had enough. We had our account terminated and switched to other internet company. Now, surfing the Net is a breeze.

Whenever my internet connection goes down, I call up the service provider for them to check the source. There are days that they respond quickly. But on days that it's taking them long, I usually call them again and again until they provide the service that I request. Good thing that this happens rarely. If it will take more than a day, I would definitely go to an internet cafe.

Its very irritating to see net connection down. The area where I live has network problem so my net is mostly down. In that case I first do complaints for it to the provider and secondly as I have lots of work on internet I have to go to net cafes for that everytime I have this problem as I can't miss a day usig net as have many important mails which have to be replied.

offcourse i will dispute with the internet provider cos hey! i am giving money to them and if i am not getting a proper service then they should get a hard time from customers like me !

My first thought would be eee what have I done to the computer so would then ring up customer services and they would probably tell me it isnt my computer but everyones and its their end not mine. I would be so thankful I havent messed the computer up!
Then I would ask how long I would be off and probably get on and do some housework which I probably should have been doing in the first place.

I usually wait until it comes back on. If it goes out its usually because of bad weather and they are very good about fixing it. If it goes out because we don't have the money to pay the bill, I just wait until we have the money. Its very upsetting but I have no other choice.

Although I am on the internet each day for many hours, I can still tolerate my internet connection down for anything up to a day. That causes me some inconveniences, but I can accept it. I'll just use that as the reason to switch to doing other things outside of my PC, like pack my room, catch up with some reading or go out. If it is more than a day and I need the online access, then I will pop over to my sister's home to use her PC. She is staying just two blocks away from me in the same estate, so that is quite convenient. But so far (touch wood), my ISP has been very reliable and I hardly have any internet connection downtime for more than a couple of minutes.

Being connected to the internet has become a addiction - may be even a necessity today. What with the internet having taken over most people completely. So much so that they are online for most of the day - be it at home or office.I for one needs to be conected to the internet atleast for 8 hours at work and atleast for 1 hour daily at home.Given this need,I would not be happy if the internet connection is down. And I would try to resolve the issue from my side as fast as possible. If there seems to be some service provider issue,I would take it up with the customet care. But till now I haven't faced any internet connection issue at home.At office though,I have faced it!

When my server is down, I just keep pressing the service provider to resolve the problem and this I will do for some time before I give up and visit a cyber cafe. Good luck

this had happend to me many times. i do dispute this thing to my internet provider coz we are subscribing them to give us a convenient subscription. there was a time when i was very disappointed and decided to let my subscription be cut due to the absence of the connection. many things were lost due to the long span of having no connection. wherein this is the only means of communication we have with my hubby since he is working abroad. my hubby was also convienced that i discontinue such coz of the many downtimes. be reminded "customer is always right...". we have the right to complain in this matter...
