Hi I read a article about smoking. I read the whole article and now I am discussing here why you should not smoke. Cigarette contains chemical such as tar, carbon monoxide and nicotine. The prime ingredients, tar and carbon monoxide are instigators of cardiovascular diseases and lung ailments. The cigarette's third main component, nicotine, affects the heart, lungs and stomach. There is definite evidence that this chemical effects the brain adversely in various ways. Smoking and tobacco-related health complications are the single largest cause of preventable, premature death. Estimates are clearing that cigarettes are responsible for over 400,000 deaths each year. Smoking causes a significant increase in the risk for cancer (lung, larynx, esophagus), chronic bronchitis, and emphysema as well as diseases of the heart and coronary arteries. In addition, smoking is a major contributory factor in the development of many other cancers. So.Do you smoke and want to leave this bad habit??

I'm thankfully not a smoker. I have a few friends that smoke and I see the damage it has done to them already and they're still in their 20s. It's sad and EXPENSIVE. I honestly don't know how they can afford it.

I do not smoke and neither feel good for those who smoke. A person who smokes is simply slow poisoning himself, it's foolish to spend money on a habit which will kill you. I rather eat good food for my health than pick up a dirty habit of smoking or anything similar which is harmful.

Hello skublue I have read your topic and I like it. In the past I was a chain smoker but since last 15 yrs I am a non-smoker. I hate people who smoke. I can not tolerate the flavour of ciger. In public place if anybody is smoking I strongly protest. People who smoke randomly they do not know what they are doing with them and their family. pkc3000

no i don't smoke. and i hate it because my dad smokes and he makes life quite difficult because of his smoking at times. and not to mention the condition of his office walls. It's a room by itself and all his walls are yellow. NOt to mention his wires and stuff. They all get yellow and sticky through time. it's horrible. And moreover the smells stinks. I have no problems with friends who smoke, please don't get me wrong, but i definitely don't want to marry a smoker and i myself would never be tempted to touch the stick.

I dont like both smoking and drinking.I always tried to keep away from this bad habit.I tried to smoke once in my life when i was studying in college.I find nothing special in that,so i decided not to repeat it in my whole life. Both smoking and drinking is injurious to health and it is better to keep away from this bad habit.

No, I don't smoke. I haven't acquired this habit. I know quite a few people, who do smoke, and I must admit that sometimes it has been tempting, but I don't want to cave into this habit.

i dont smoke. I believe in the saying that "if u smoke u never grow old coz u die young". there are many complications with it. however, even though i dont smoke there is still a risk since being a non-smoker is also prone to those persons smoking. Even just by having a person nearby you can let the nicotine enter your system and ruin it too. Better to be away from person like these...be healthy wise..

I never smoke.I know its bad for health in the long run.Despite of the warnings on the ciigarette packs.People still smoke nowadays. Its sad to see young college going children smoking.Once people start smoking they are addicted to it and its difficult to leave smoking. If they stop it.THey cough so severely that most of the time they spend coughing. We all encounter problems in our lives but there are wiser ways to deal with it than falling into bad habits.

Yes I smoke and while I know the risks, the addiction is very strong and it's very hard to quit. I have tried several times to quit but so far have been unable. I have two daughters and I know the importance of quitting which is why I have decided to try again after my birthday in May. I think it's great that you are starting a discussion to spread awarness. Keep up the good work.
