Have you felt God had turned away from you before?

The Bible says that God inhabits our praises. There is nothing like some heart-felt songs sung to God to bring His presence into your life. Prayer and reading the Bible then continue the flow. Jesus said He would never leave us or forsake us. I have found that it is usually me that is disconnected, not God. If I am suffering, it usually comes from my own actions. That is when I cry out to God to forgive me and set me back on the right path. No matter what the source of the pain, God will show up if you wait on Him.

Thank you, especially for the way that God is not disconnected, but man. As a born sinner, there may have been times I saw only one set of footprints (if you are familiar with that saying) but it was Christ's imprint, not mine.
Thanks, folks for your thoughts.

Remember even though you were born a sinner who you are now in Christ. All the lies you have heard over the years can quickly creep in and make you feel that God is not there. Remember the first thing that Satan said when he tempted Jesus. "If you are the son of God." Go back and look at the chapter before where the words spoken to Jesus just before this is "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased." Do you see how quickly Satan tried to make Jesus doubt and to nullify the words of God the Father? If Jesus was attacked, we will be too. I like to put the scriptures in my heart of who I am in Christ. When doubt arises the scriptures come to mind and the attack is over for the time being. Remember that part of the armor that we put on is the truth. The truth is God's Word and it's better than any other sword you can carry.
Didn't mean to lecture. God bless you.

No. My concept of god is very different and very ancient. Of course, that doesn't mean being Kemetic makes everything right, but my gods area everywhere I go. So to answer the question nope, god has never left my side, it was a matter for me to open up my eyes and see..

nice question...
what we get in return from this world be it good or bad doesn't have to do with god at all. he is nowhere in the picture. the world runs on the principle what you sow so shall you reap. that's the spiritual explanation of the discovery of newton when he discovery the law of action and reaction stated in a scientific was...both the explanations are for the same situation.
only difference is that scientific discoveries are short term and prone to not match in all situations, while spiritual explanations are permanent and very very long term.
for example scientific laws don't work very well in outerspace or within microscopic environments like within the atom. there different laws are governing factors.
whilst in spirituality they work all the time and with clock work precision. off course one must know all laws at play in the spiritual work then we can understand all that is happening in our lives and why that happens and how to avoid what is destined to happen. we could discuss more. your question was v nice. bye
