It has been a month since I had oatmeal for breakfast. Last year I tried two full months - I substituted my regular breakfast with oatmeal to incorporate more fiber in my diet. However, I always end up hungry after an hour so I also ended up eating more x__x Do you have oatmeal for breakfast?

Yes, I have oatmeal for breakfast some days. That's right, for fiber supplement. Ofcourse, together I would have my usual fried eggs and sausages.

I think buns are also good if your appetite is bad.

Hi, my husband does; so I would usually make him oatmeal once or twice a week. He said that it's good for his hypertension and, as you mentioned, more fiber in his diet! I don't like taking food that is 'good for me' - preferring junk food instead!

I can't eat oatmeal for a whole week! For variety in taste,I put fruits (like mangoes and bananas), sometimes cinnamon, sometimes just plain milk. I believe that there is this brand of oatmeal which has different varieties like lugaw, etc. I just can't remember the brand. Perhaps if I go to the grocery I can look for it and will post it here. :)

I've actually heard that protein is more filling than fiber, contrary to popular belief. I gave this a shot, and actually found that it is true with my body type. My body thrives off of protein, not carbohydrates. Have you tried eating eggs and bacon in the morning? Don't be afraid of the high fat+protein combo, as long as you skip the toast, you have no worries. It isn't fat that gives people heart disease, it's carbohydrates. You can get fiber from fruits and veggies. Try it for a few days, see if you have more energy on a high protein breakfast than on a high-carb/fiber one. And then get back to me... because I am curious!! :)

I have never tried oatmeal in my life, but I will certainly give it a try. I am not sure about the taste of the oatmeal. Are they good? Idili, dosa, masala dosa, puttu, etc are my favorite breakfast.

Yes, I have heard about the benefits of eating oatmeal. The problem is, I do not like the taste of it. No matter how I tried, I really have not develop a liking for it. Well, I just take in other foods that are rich in fiber instead of taking oatmeal. Another thing is that I do not eat breakfast. So I really need something heavy on lunch time. Taking oatmeal will not last me long.

Hey there! I tried eating oatmeal for breakfast for around a week or so. I found that, like you, I'd end up hungry after an hour. I also find that it's hard to eat oatmeal for a few days straight without getting tired of the same taste. There are different flavors but after a while, even if I try different flavors, I easily get tired of the taste.
