Has anyone here watched Great Teacher Onizuka? It's awesome!

I have watched GTO months ago and I still laugh when I remember the crazy antics of this teacher called Onizuka. It has a really deep story sometimes too, and when it gets serious, I actually find myself welling-up. It really hits home when I saw the "bullying" episode and I cheered when the guy being bullied saved the life of the bully. It was one of the best moments in any anime series I've watched!
Anyone else here who loves watching GTO?

Yes, I have that series. It's awwsome! It's one of the few anime series that my wife likes also. I can't remember how many of the Director's cars he wrecked...LOL. Have you seen their live action series for GTO? Ihave only seen the first episode. I haven't seen enough to say if I really like the live action series yet.

Yea. I watched it many years ago. It's indeed a great anime. Onizuka is such a unique teacher and I always wish I had teachers like him.

Yes. I love watching GTO. I got hooked on it when it was shown over a cable channel way back college. I religiously watched each and every episode. I also watched its dorama adaptation over youtube. If you'd love this one, you should try Gokusen as well. It's like the female version of GTO.

Ya, have watched some episodes of the anime years ago. Had also watched the Japanese live action tv series (Takashi Sorimachi plays Onizuka sensei, and his current wife, Nanako plays his love interest) a lot of years ago when they just released it. It's so crazy and funny. As I was still a student at the time I'm watching it, I really felt that it's impossible in real life for such sensei to teach ...

My brother can over last summer and I watched it with him and it was hilarious. I haven't seen all of the first season but I haven't had the time so I guess that is one thing I'm going to have to do!!!!
