What is PTP "Paid to promote" ?

As Advertiser I want understand what is PTP or "Paid to promote" and what is the deference between PTP "Paid to promote" and PPV "Pay Per View" ? I know that many sites has PTP or "Paid to promote" Like Get Paid to sites, and get paid to every task. but from point of view there is also PPV " or " Pay per view " they both gives traffic but what is the deference ?
