hi friends.i was watching the second t20 between aussies and proteas and during the last few overs,an aussie bowler continued to bowl full tosses.anyway.here is the thing.imagine this situation. team A Vs team B: match equation: runs required = 2 balls remaining=1 wickets remaining = 1 team A needs 2 runs to win. the bowlers runs into bowl the last over the match with 2 runs required to lose the match or a wicket to win the match. he bowls a waist high full toss to the batsmen and the batsmen hit it in the air and runs for a single.a fielder takes the catch but the batsmen completed one run. now here is the situation. the ball was around waist high. it is one of those balls which can go to either the batsmen favour or the bowlers favour.if it happens in the middle of an innings and if the leg umpire got doubt,he will usually give the benefit of doubt to the batsmen and call it a no ball. but this time, his decision is what that is going to be the result of the game.if he gives it a noball, team A wins but if he gives it a legitimate delivery, then team B wins. what will be his decision?

First of all it was not the australian bowler but the south african bowler who was bowling full tosses. In case you were watching the match in your sleep let me inform you australia won the toss and batted second. The answer is very simple according to the laws of the game the umpire has to signal a no ball.

well friend.i dont usually go to sleep before 1 am and the match was over before that.it was a slight confusion on my part.so u r saying if the umpire is not sure if its waist high or not,he has to signal it a no ball?

No problem everyone gets confused some or the other time. And im not saying the umpire should give it as a no ball if he is not sure. If the umpire has a doubt if the delievery is a no ball or not he has to simply check with the square leg umpire. He has to go with whatever the square leg umpire says. Anyways the t20 match was awesome i have never seen anyone seen a batsman look to play leg side and get boundaries one after another.

According to rules of cricket it is No-ball and the decision should go in favor of batsman. Umpires should not be partial to any team, they have to judge according to rules, if the ball is above waist height then it is no-ball. The batting team wins the match and the bowling team lose the match.

look if the umpire calls a no ball you have to give it to him that he is fairly sure.I saw the ball, it was a fair call by the umpire.Fast bowler bowling beamers is the least cricket wants, no place for it.

very crutial moment it is.well if the batsman is in the crease and the ball is at waist then surely it should be declared a noball.
