Is anybody here know a recipe and WHWRE to get the ingredients of TAKOYAKI (particularly in Manila, Ph)? I have tested this japanese food and when ever I ask the staff where I I can buy them, they can not discuss as to were to get the ingredeints. Surprisingly, Takoyaki is very sumptous and very delicious; you should try when you visit Manila:-) the taste is pinoy though.

me, too! i tasted an original japanese takoyaki and it was so good! but when it started to boom here in mla, the tastes became dull.. it lost the original taste of the main ingredient which is the "octopus".. would love to know the original recipe!
i can share a sushi recipe in exchange!
hehehe

sushi? I'll think about it :-) there's a lot of recipe in the internet, I already tried cooking a few; I used squid instead of octupus (hard to find eh) unfortunately, it didn't taste as good as in the market. I'm still trying to find out what's the best proportion and ingredients; but its good for the vegetarian, I believe so. There's another one in Pedro Gil St, it's completely a different taste because the main ingredients is dried very small shrimps..just imagine the taste :-)
