A cat found me. He has health problems. The Vets think IBD and Upper Repiratory breathing problems. They want him on Prednisone for the rest of his life and they tell me there is nothing else. Everything else will ruin his liver quicker. I've only had two cats on Prednisone-this one and a previous one. Prev. drooled, glassy-eyed and pee-ed on himself. This one-sleep 23 out of 24 hours. I complained to the vet and she didn't even offer to lower the dose, so I said I'm not having a cat sleep 23 out of 24 hours. Either this cat can get better and have a decent life or it can be put to sleep for good, at 23/24, it's almost permanently to sleep anyway. I asked for a different med, but was told other meds destroy the cat's liver faster (scary, I was on that stuff for awhile, all I wanted to do was eat, I gained a bunch of weight I never lost, made me miserable, but did cut my pain for the two weeks I was on it. But my human Doc. wouldn't allow me on it more than 2 weeks, tells you something doesn't it).
