When is the next linkin park album gonna release?

It has been two months since linkin park has release their album. They started off with hybrid theory,meteora,reanimation,collution course and minutes to midnight. So far it has been a great band and I guess they are releasing a new album this year. Just to be sure I am posting this discusion. I've been listening to their song for the past three years. It is my favourite band. I am geting used to the sameold songs and gives me the feeling of de ja voo. I am. Anticipating their new album. I hopeits worth the wait

Wait, shouldn't it be a remix album first though?
They usually do that before dropping a new one.
Considering that the latest one didn't do as well as the first two, I'd say it'd take awhile. I hope they have better lyrics on the next album because they lyrics to the songs in Minutes to Midnight weren't as good as the ones in Meteora and Hybrid Theory.
Well, I'm guessing at least 2 more years.

I actually have a friend that tours with Linkin Park and I got a chance to listen to the a few of the possible new songs for the next CD. I have to tell you that they are amazing, every song is ambient at first but ends up having heavy guitars, of course the vocals are still great with the mix of rap / rock. I am really excited about it and I would say the new record is well worth the wait.
