Hello my friend riyasam Ji,
I do not go for particular case like this or even for that matter Mr Bill-gate or
anyone at taht par, I am with firm view that education is must for all upto individual
saturated points. If some one can not make it, then one's in-herited wisdom would work
to earn one's livili-hood. But, what and educated one can make, comparitively other
fellow has to struggle. There are many examples, un-educated person with money-making
would become curse to society like many 'dons' around.
May God bless you and have a great time.

I think it could go either way. It depends on the details of the situation. I don't know all the details.
It's only a bad example if the parents of the kids let it be. My kids won't have computer access until high school unless it's absolutely necessary.

Hi Riya,
I felt difficulty to judge him because I don’t know the reason of dropping him out from school.
In my opinion, if students can earn money online it may affects their studies badly. They should utilize the time for studies well. At present education is very important and there is competition in every field. If a boy/girl who can make money through net or through some other means may failed to concentrate study and there is a chance to use the money for unnecessary things which may creates problems for him/her. So I think it is the duty of the parents to check the activities of their kids and find out if there is anything wrong with them. Now internet is affecting badly on students and there many reports came out, sometimes parents blindly believing their kids and it worsens the problem. Finally they (kids) should realize that education is important than making money at their age.

Some people get lucky in life and some are not. Good if you get lucky and will earn lots of money. But in most cases, it does not happen. You must work hard to earn money and must also be educated to earn some good paying jobs. Though some people get rich without much education, but education does gives us the opportunity to earn more. So I guess we should inculcate to our kids the value of education and hard work. After all, the kid who must have earned online did a lot of hardwork before finally reaching his goal.

It usually takes a lot of work to actually produce the money to begin with, like any job, but obviously it works for him. On most cases it doesn't work because most places use the referral system and that basically just makes their site more popular but if you don't have many friends using the internet then the internet isn't the place for you to get money. Ebay is actually a really good place to go to make money because you can buy cheap stuff and sell them for loads more if you're a good seller. My friend did Ebay and got like £40 a week.

A good discussion. These kinds of news sure makes the young ones to emulate the same fashion without the trouble of the traditional learning and earning. But it wont work with everyone. Some dedicate immense man hours to find the right way to earn on line.It is definitely not everyone's forte.I think that the kids are too smart to take this kind of earning very serious.

It is of course setting a bad precedence. Kids are being brought up to believe that there really is a short cut to proper long-lasting success, when there actually isn’t! look at the late Ms.Jade Goody…while I mean no disrespect to the departed, but she is a prime example of what reality TV is doing to our kids and their futures! If its not reality TV, then it is the net (as you mention…) naturally in such circumstances, education and hard honest work takes a backseat and the love of the lucre takes precedence, even to parents! But once the bubbles burst, I really don’t know how these kids or their parents will cope with the despair.

Why would that set a bad example? I think it sets a good one for people like myself, who might have a hard time finding a job because of disability (I'm legally blind). It's nice to know that there are all sorts of different ways out there to make money. As long as one particular method isn't abused, there's no problem. it's about as bad an example for "some" as "physical lablur being the only means of earning an HONEST LIVING" is to those who may not be able to perform certain tasks.

I have not read this news but I do not think earning online is a bad example for our kids. Working the whole day on the net is indeed hard work. It is not everyone who could become rich by just earning online. This kid must have worked very very hard.

Well, this is again one of the stories which seems to be true, but unbelievable. Kids are quite smart now, they can't get swept away with these kind of stories.
