The shawshank redemption was a good movie but not the best for me. I like movies that makes me think, that is funny, and have good lesson to learn from. One of them is "Forrest Gump". I can't think of any other movie close to what Forrest Gump gave its viewers. It has fun, drama, truth, love story, and great lesson. There's a lot of real good movies though - past and present but people's views are different. Some like drama, comedy, action, horror, etc. so it depends.

thanx thats really a very gud comment.you no one thing i have watched "Forrest gump" more than 10 times and really i liked it too much.i respect your choice...i have remembered all what gump said in d movie,like "my mama always said 'life is a pack of chokolate and u never know what you gonna get'".really nice one.

yeah you are right. i have seen it three times and willing to see it again after my exams. there r so many other movies too which i like a lot like troy, forrest gump the mummy blah blah but the theme and story which was presented in this movie is really awesome and still its at the top in IMDB rankings so you can judge that how good this movie is.
if you have not seen it must see it

hey what are you saying,just go to imdb and you can see it is the most rated movie over there.and ya i have also watched angoor in which sanjeev kumar is there....nice movie really.

I havenot watched The Shawshank redemption :-( But I have heard from my friends that its a very nice movie
