Where does Conficker come from?

Conficker is the most dangerous a computer worm in 2009 which keeps interest of security experts and users. Microsoft has announced a reward of 250.000$ for the one who discover and catch the creator of this virus.
Today, my partner takes home an analysis of Conficker's code. I find that it has many related points with Nimda. So I guess that Conficker was created in China.
What do you think about this?

i also thoght as much.. i think it originated from china because it has chinese trace routes...
