General motors may be merged with any other auto maker. The trend of amalgamating is going on America and other parts of the world. For survival General Motors may take such decision. But I don't think the economic condition of General Motors is so bad.

I really hope General Motors does not go out of business. I love the cars they produce. My family has only ever owned GM cars. If they were to go out of business, I wonder what this would mean for my current GM car? Well, my fingers are crossed that they will remain ok!

Personally this could be a thing to help save them. Around here we have seen at least 2 Car dealerships have to close, and one of them just recently did a lot of remodeling so we know times are getting real tough around here. But personally I think that a lot of the Car dealerships might do better if they start learning to merge together more to help keep them all in business more as well. Seriously when you look at it, times are tough and if they are not making what they need too in order to save themselves combining together could be in their Best interest for sure.

It seems to me that the writing is on the wall. General Motors may have lost its chance to change with the changing times and it is now in a quicksand it cannot extricate itself from.

It will be useless to help general motor. Like what you said on the title, GM was a past; It will be long gone before you even know it. To save it, learn from Japanese auto maker, and they revise their production procedure to better adapt this global environment. We need fuel - efficient car, and longer lifetime.
