The plastic bags I'm talking about are the ones you get at Walmart or a groceriy store. Lately I use those clothes bags when I shop. Once in awhile I froget and I take home stuff in a plastic bag. With the plastic bags I keep them. I'll reuse alot of them or take them to Walmart to be recycled. What do you do?

My fiancee and I currently only use the cloth bags if we're shopping somewhere that doesen't provide bags of some sort for you. We like to get plastic bags at the grocery store so we can use them around the house. We use them in some of our small garbage cans around the house. My fiancee sometimes takes his lunch in a plastic bag. We use them to carry things, etc. etc. They have many uses! And honestly, I hope they never stop offering them at the grocery store, because we use them for a lot of things and would have to start buying something similar if they didn't offer them anymore.

It is good you reuse the bags for different reasons! I doubt they''ll stop using plastic bags at grocery stores!

I save all of my plastic bags and use them as trash bags for the bathrooms when I'm too cheap to buy any LOL. I use them to pick up trash in the yard and also when I take my lunch to work with me. With the way the economy is right now, it saves me from spending unnecessary money.

I carry my cloth bags into shop and I also put plastic bags that I have already used
with them, these I will use for fruit and vegies, and if when I'm finished I have any plastic left over I put them in the recycle bin at the door before I leave. I am still working on how to use this system to be as green as I can be.

I use them as trash bags. I know that there are more efficient trash bags - the ones that erode over time, but they're expensive here in the Philippines compared to the free plastic bags that grocery stores use when you buy stuff from them. I store them up and reuse them either as containers or as trash bags :)
Thanks for the response on my discussion!

The ones I get from Walmart, goes back to Walmart. Ours has a bag deposit bin too, and all you have to do is bring the bags back and shove them in so they can get recycled. Our Giant Eagle has one too. The ones that I can't take back, I reuse in my closet to keep seasonal clothing bagged up and clean. Makes it easier to keep things like sandals, hiking boots, etc, out of the way when they're not in season.
Sometimes I'll use the bags and cut them into one long spiral strip, and then crochet them with a plain stitch to make a waterproof foot scraper/rug for the back door. They last quite a few years, and the nice thing is you can hose them down lol. Other things I use them for is to put my hanging plant in it when I water, saves from getting drips on other stuff...plus with the bags on the handles, I just hook it over the top where the hanger is.
