I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism (an underactive thyroid) when I was twelve. I have seen it affect many parts of my life since then, and I've constantly been trying to battle the symptoms I get, even though I am on daily medication. I know that it is a fairly common disease, but very few people around me seem to have it, or seem to be able to offer any insight into tackling the symptoms. My main issues are fatigue and poor circulation. They seem minor, but are quite a nuisance!
Do you have hypothyroidism? What are your worst symptoms? How do you keep them in check?

my partner was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism ( too much iodine ). he was diagnosed last 2001. he was hyperactive that time, he sweats frequently and the other effect was the bulging of his eyes. his doctor advice him to undergo that so called radio-active iodine ( RAI ). after so, it never gets normal and worst it has become a hypothyroidism. this was the time also when he easily get tired and as what you have said poor circulation. the bulging of his eyes is still there and now had hypertension. Before, he always has his check-up every three months that includes the laboratories ( TSH, T3, T4 ). since then, there was an improvement about his condition until there was such time where he went to the doctor twice a year. Thank God! it get to normal condition and right now he is focusing on his hypertension which was the cause of such illness. he also had a medicine to maintain.

I'm glad to hear he's doing much better now! My sister underwent radioactive iodine treatment for hyperthyroidism as well. Since we now, technically, both are without fully functioning thyroid glands, we try to compare notes and symptoms, but we don't seem to have the same ones. It's almost like we have two different diseases some days, even though we should probably be affected similarly. Strange!
Thanks for the response! Happy mylotting :)
