Here it is the 30th of March, and time is starting to run out. If you are going to have someone else do it have you even scheduled an apt. yet? Believe it or not even though I have been planning on getting mine done sooner, we have not done ours yet. We are going to use Turbo Tax and file it online.
This is actually the way we have been doing this for a while now. Just cannot believe I have procrastinated and put it off this long. I guess I had better get busy as we sure need the $$ as well.

I didn't file my tax yet. I am a jobless right now so I presume i cannot do filling my tax right now. If I am employed they deducted it automatically in my salary so that i don't need to file again on my own. This is how easy my life now but no more income now a days. At the end i suffer much because this time you know we are in economic crisis. Well it's better to have a job even though i was paying my tax rather than nothing to earn, right my friend. Well friend goodluck and Godbless you!

Hi Tina,
I haven't done mine yet either. It's pretty much done, I just need to print it up and send it off. My husband and I had needed to get a new printer so that was one of the reasons I hadn't done it. Now that we have one I've been slacking. Guess I better get my butt in gear and finish it up before it's too late. Thanks for the reminder!

I filed mine as soon as humanly possible in January; Come to find out I qualified for more money and about two or three weeks ago, I got that money back in the mail as well. I may consider Turbo Tax next year myself if I do the income tax prep course that I say I want to do. that way, I could do my taxes and get something back without paying big fees.

I like to file my own because I am cheap and don't like to give my money to someone for something I can easily do myself. We received our W-2's back in the beginning of Feb and I filed online and got it just about a week or two later.
We usually have plans for our income tax and this year was no different so it didn't take long for it to be spent. I know though if I don't get them done right when I get them then I will completely forget about them and I am sure before i remembered it would be to late and i would be stuck filing an extension. Besides we work all year for that so why not get them done so you can enjoy it.

Yes we have! Got the paperwork sent away about 2 weeks ago, just waiting for the nice cheque to arrive! I always find that it's too eazsy to put things aside and forget and continue to put it off, so I try to be really prompt when it comes to getting taxes out of the way with.

Yes, I've done mine, my kids's, some of the relatives down here in Florida and a couple of the business taxes I do every year. I use online software, too, which makes it possible for me to do my daughter's and my son's taxes who live in Maryland. They give me the info over the phone while I'm on the computer.

Hi, do you have a deadline too? Ours is April 30; and I usually procrastinate until maybe mid April. These few years I've been filing my taxes online, and in order to avoid the internet 'jam' , I had better get it done before the last week of April.

We Indians have to file our taxes by 31st of march and if you are a salaried employee it is simple you dont get your February pay which is paid in March till you dont give details how much you have invested in tax saving schemes and how many other tax saving benefits you have and how much tax has to be deducted in month of feb pay. The employer then checks all your claims and calculate if what you say is correct or not and if finds wrong then he deducts the amount which he feels right . because it is the duty of employer that all employee pay right amount of tax. For bussiness man they have their Charted Accountant. Yes i have filled tax on 20th of march this year.

Oh my gosh! I can NOT believe you people are still handing over your hard earned money to the privately owned Federal Reserve Banks who controls the IRS as well as our country with their(your tax) MONEY. None of what you paid in taxes out of your paycheck goes to our government.
There is NO LAW that says you have to pay an INCOME TAX. Only codes.
I see where most of the people on Mylot are saying " Never pay a company to work for them" or "I wont pay a monthly fee to work on the Internet" but they will allow the Feds to take money from every paycheck they earn. What's the difference? Either way you are paying to work! When you think of the IRS, think of the biggest mob leaders around this country(and the world) and then ask yourselves why you are still a "slave"(tax payer)to these men. And you thought slavery was supposed to have been abolished. Think again, it just changed it's name. Slave=Taxpayer...
You and all the other taxpayers have been lied to, stolen from and are slaves to the illegal IRS. The feds are printing money as we speak and they are doing so because they are the only ones who can do that and without any gold to back it, our government gave up that right when they let the FEDs take over. The private owners of these banks are controlling our government not the President nor any other government official.
Our president has to answer to them, The FEDs.
Where do you think Obama is getting (borrowing) all this money from that he is so generous with? Who is making this money? Why are they letting him give it away?
9.7 trillion dollars have been lost, misplaced or stolen, where did it go?. If you haven't watched or heard this video about the Federal Reserve Banks and Obama please do so now... The Obama Deception

I filed mine around the 27th of February (the first couple days it could be filed) I've gotten the money back and already applied it to my student loans. I do them myself because its a couple papers - i use UFILE (About $15 cdn) which beats paying 70-80 dollars for someone professional to do it for me.

I use Taxcut to do my taxes. I have put all of the information in, and just need to review it for accuracy. I do not get a refund, I actually owe. I am not feeling well, and since my printer at home is not working, i will need to go to the library in order to print it out. Hopefully, I can do that tomorrow, and then efile online. I haven't received a refund since I was married in 1999. I used to always get something back, now I owe every year.

We did ours about a month ago. We got it back via direct deposit. I usually file ours online at HRBlock.com. I have been filing with them either online or at a location for about 7 years now, mainly online by myself. Its fast and easy and I dont have to go sit somewhere to have them done. And we have the HR block visa from last year so I just had them sent to that account. We got ours in 2 weeks and didnt pay for ours this year. Usually I pay for it to have them with the 3 day turn around.

I too have procrastinated and will use Turbo Tax. I love Turbo Tax. It's pretty easy and my returns aren't too complicated, so I wonder why so many CPA's are still so bogged down with busy season these days.
