Why?

The question "why?" never gets to the root of anything. If you keep asking why, there is also something before it. For example..
"why do you speak like that?"
"because I am from such and such a country."
"why do you live there?"
"because I was born there."
"why were you born there?"
"because my parents were born there?"
"why?"
"Because my grandparents"
"why?"
It can go on forever back to Adam and Eve, if there were such people, and even back before that. There is no reason why really. It just is so.
Much better to ask "what is that?" Then is saves all the thinking back through time. And the answer to "what?" can be much more profound. - Derek
