Are you fond of giving constructive comments/criticism on every posted discussion that you think that is not correct grammatically? is it rude to do so? i have read some comments regarding wrong grammar here on this site..and sometime made me wonder how can this people so confident on themselves to that extent on commenting or making some corrections and don't think what the concerned one may feel ....

Hi vanities, good day to you. Honestly speaking, i know that i am poor in english, spelling and in grammar. But even though i weak in that part, i just give my best to explain my point and to give opinion, just to help other people here online by giving my own advice. Even though i'm weak, i really accept it and i am ready to learn no matter how hard it is. The reason why i'm poor in english is i did not study well in our English subject, because our teacher in school in that subject is always absent, and i did not give so much time to study it. But now i am very sorry for my self, that i did not study it and i did not give my best to learn it. If i only know that this will be very helpful, i will give so much time to learn it. I'm hoping that their will be concern people who will help me to study it.
There is a saying that "practice makes perfect, but nobody is perfect". That's why i think, i must practice it to be almost perfect in this matter. Well that's all my response. Happy posting and happy earning to us here in this site mylot. Good day again and God bless. . . :'c

For me I only give attention to the topic of the discussion. I do not care whether the author or the respondents are wrong in their grammars or spelling as long as I was able to understand what was asked or written. I believe that not all members here are perfect in grammar and we all live in different countries. Some may be good in English and some are not. But if I could not really understand the point of the author then I just don't respond to it and prefer to choose a different topic. I do not attack each discussion on the manner of how it was written but on the matter or the substance of the article.

I think that it is absolutely rude and have had one person do that to me also.
Not someone that I want to be friends with her at MyLot anyway and not just because they were rude to me but because they came across as just a subtly angry individual.
There are many different walks of life her on MyLot. Not everyone's English is as good as another's and so their senteces may not be compiled in what would be condiered proper English.
I think most MyLotter's are able to compensate for that and are able to decipher what the person is meaning anyway.
I think any one who complains in a response to a discussion about grammatical errors is in the wrong place.
Yes, it is rude and totally uncalled for considering the vast array of users here on MyLot from around our World.

Hi EvrWonder, good day to you. . . Honestly, i'm not good in english because i know in my other response there is something wrong with spelling and in grammar. . . :'c
i remember last week, i accept 5 task which having a reward of 2$ each and this afternoon i have received five messages and it you know what are the messages? It said that my Paragraph in the task contains multiple spelling/grammitc errors. Which makes me really sad. That's why i can say that i'm really poor in English. I hope there will be someone who must help me. That five task is a great opportunity to earn money, but i am rejected. I hope in the next task that i will accept, i will no longer rejected. By the way EvrWonder, will it be fine if i will add you to be my friend? Thank you very much! ! !

Hello vanities,
I don't mind if others try to correct me here as long as they do it in a proper way - not in a way that can hurt and make me feel like hating them I happened to see many 'corrections' from members who think that they know better in term of grammar and sort of. As long as they don't sound arrogant to me, I have no problem with that.

You know, it is not bad to have some comments or correction regarding the wrong grammar used by the poster as long as it is said in a right and polite manner.
I would never make side comments/correction in other's grammar if im not sure that i am right or in doubt of it. And if my correction been proven wrong and it is not a problem for me because iam the person who will gladly accept criticism. Criticism will helps a lot in improving my grammar.

I am not very confident on my grammar. But I really don't mind if people make mistakes in posting here as long as I understand what they want to imply. I do not want to make any corrections since I fully understand the situation.

There are many people come from non-English speaking countries in mylot, therefore it is acceptable if there are some wrong grammar or misspell. I think we are here for communication, not grammar. Right?
In my country, we learned classic English other than modern English in the school some years ago. Now the situation seems changed. Nowadays many children learn English in the primary school, even in the kindergarten. I think it is very pitiful for a country.
If I cannot understand a post after try my best, I just read next post.
But if the topic is my interested one, I will ask for more details.

I realize that sometimes my writing is not perfect, sometime my spelling and grammer is not good. So I dont make comments or criticise anyone discussion, I just post my response if they asked a question and I see where I can contribute. Because no one is perfect in their writing. Sometime when i write after i post the discussion i realize that there are a lot of errors and I was too late to correct it. So I am not the one to criticise anyone writing.

There is nothing in grammar , This may happen due they want to reply fast, or by any other reason. If you make a spelling is wrong you can read it correctly that's human nature or command over the language. In discussion point of view grammar may not play important role.

I think its kinda awful if you're being criticized in a way that it makes you feel down than being raised up.I mean, instead of helping them,(something like that)they even make it worst.People sometimes are just too proud and confident about themselves that they never really care if they hurt people. For me,myself,I can say that im not that confident.I could be if I want, anyways nobody knows me totally in here.I can say whatever I want. But thinking the fact that its going to destructive people, come on,why just be real but not too harsh.?

i reply about what the topic/question is regarding, and that is it. who am i to criticize someone's grammar, whether it is correct or not? this is a forum. it's not school, or anything else that deserves grading and "constructive criticism". if the grammar is so poor i have trouble understanding what the original poster means, i simply don't reply. i think more people should do this and just ignore these posts that "bother" them. it's rude not to, in my opinion.

I really dont care how people spell. If the writing is understandable i'm kool with it. I never spell right myself. Look back at this writing. People dont have time to type every single word correct. And half the time people dont know how to spell what they want to spell.
People can't really complain. Just get used to it. ITs not like their spelling is so perfect.

I think if someone has this much nerve to correct someone else on their grammatical errors, I think they should be nice enough to privately contact the person...and besides, doesn't myLot consist of members from all over the world? Wouldn't it be a bit unfair to mercilessly pick out others' mistakes like that? I don't think that that is a very nice thing to do publicly, in discussions, where the correction is unneeded or unasked for. I am new here and this place seems very very nice and amiable, but we shouldn't ruin that by pointing at petty things like grammatical errors.
This is a nice topic...

Glaring grammatical mistakes do attract my attention , but whenever I understand the topic I choose not to say anything. There have been exceptional cases, where I was tempted to give a few suggestions because I thought that the person was genuinely asking for it [from the tone and tenor of the discussion-but even here , in hindsight I did feel that it had not been necessary and the person did not take it in the right spirit.]
This dicussion forum is just meant for a friendly interaction and there are different perceptions. Some people do have a bit of unfounded confidence and cannot afford to criticise others because they themselves fall prey to these errors.
I tend to make typing errors and used to feel terrible for it.But, one friend once pointed out that a typo or two did not matter between friends and after that I don't worry too much about my typos.e.g. 'Thta ' for' that, and so on.

Hi vanities!!! Hope you're having a lovely day! I sometimes see some who make corrections of other people's error when theyre much more the ones that needs to be corrected... With that, I just dont mind if a person makes grammatical error as long as I can understand what that person was exactly trying to say.

Hi vanities! I don't think that anyone has the right to give
any critcism or comment on anyones grammar on this site when
it is obvious that there are too many people here that are
not fluent in the English language! I think it is completely
unfair for anyone to even think of correcting someone for
using a wrong word. I give so much credit to everyone here
who even tries to take part in the discussions here who
doesn't use English as a first language! I know that I wouldn't
be able to do it!
