The recent drama over the multiple captaincy issue has driven me to think of kkr without ganguly someday he wont perform as he is not playing regular cricket, he is going to come under the stick. his spat with john buchana is similar to that with greg chapell , we now what happened in kokatta when greg episode happened now with the city based structure of franchise i think it will surely be a huge dent on the team if ganguly is defamed. I think the whole thing is a publicity stunt what do you think? if there is no ganguly next time in kkr will it be that popular in bengal?

The people in bengal love saurav ganguly no matter what so he does not need a publicity stunt. He is too good a player and i thought he was awesome in the match against kings 11 punjab when he combined with umar gul to pull off an near impossible and highly improbable victory. It would be very sad if he is not in the team and if that happens its difficult to say hot whe people in kolkata may react. Maybe half of them wont go to the stadium to watch the kkr matches when the ipl returns to india the next season if ganguly is not in the team.

I dont think it is a publicity stunt. You would know very well as i know that australian coaches always try their rubbish coaching techniques in india and unfortunately has bear it again. Umar gul fluke? Well do you remember the second match between mumbai indians and punjab that war the biggest fluke of the ipl.

that is a very good point that you have pointed out my friend. If the team does not have dada then it will be not even half popular what it is right now. 90 per cent of the public will be coming to the eden gardens will come to see that the play. And if you take out the main attraction from the team then what are you left with. Apart from him there is no good player in the Bengal team for such a huge crowd to pull in and see him playing on the field. Frankie speaking there are no crowd pullers like dada right now in Bengal. And so I am sure about one thing that is he will not be dropped out of the team but definitely this is the kind of insults done to him. I think it would have been better if he would have even spoken that he will not play in the team is such a thing happens but as it turned out he knew everything about it and to a certain extent was a part of it. So I don't know how everything will go on.

Ganguly is surely a crowd puller in Bengal but not all over the India will come to see his batting. Now IPL went out of India, Ganguly is not popular in South Africa or outside India. So, it does not make any different whether Dada plays or not. If the matches are played in India then Ganguly would surely matter. Let us wait and see what Kolkata Knight Riders do without Ganguly's captaincy... :)
