Should officers be granted paid leave while under investigation?

If they are going to do this because it's an investigation then it should apply to all investigations. If not, then it should be unpaid pending investigation. I don't get how some of the mess I see some officers do in the news and be place on paid administration ...actually...a vacation...until the investigation is completed. So, what do you think? How do you feel about it?
