Money orders are great if you don't have a checking account or prefer to use cash for payments. The great thing about it is that you always have a recipt of the transaction. Like with where I live, the apartment complex doesn't except cash so I go down to the store and get a money order (costs $0.75) they print it up there at the store for you and you just fill in the information, such as who it is to go to and account number or memo just like a check. You tear off the top half cause that is your recipt. Then any place that accepts checks and/or cash will take your money.
