No, i dont think they should be punished thay way, because kids are kids they dont really know waht they are doing, they are not matured enough to think good things everytime, why man will do that kind of punishment to an 8yr old kid,? i got hurt with what i see, case i know that kid has a family, and i love my family so much, and i do love my youner sis and bro, i really really love them both and im doin everything to make them happy, since my parents are not arround, they are in abroad, people should know how to respect other people even they are kid, there is a saying that respects begets respect, so they dont have to do that instead they have to talk to that kid not to do that again, i i know kid can realize what is right from wrong when you talked to them in a nice way..

Oh! come on.... it will happen only in movies, Our brothers and sisters are not that cruel to chop a hand that stole a bread to satisfy the hunger.

Hi & Hello, that's adultery, and cheating the partner of life. Whereas the innocent child doesn't deserve such harsh punishment just for a bread, which is provided by the almighty to each and every soul.

absolutely no, any person shouldn't punish any minor, it's a crime no matter what he had done. punishment of any form is not acceptable at all.

It is normal thing if any 8 year old is without mother or father. In childhood mom and Dad are only protector from outside world.

I don't think so. That's a harsh and unjustified way of punishing a kid.. It's only a piece of bread.. Here in our country, there are a lot of thieves roaming around stealing some stuff from other people, they may get caught and have to face the consequence of their action like paying a certain amount, but not like what the child has to pay.

A child has to be taught what is right and wrong, not punished in such an inhuman way. This sick type of "justice" has no place in the modern world. The people responsible for this need to wake up. How much longer do some countries and religions need to get away from their evil historical ways? What will this child think when he grows up? Will he follow the same crazy rules or see just how misguided his people are. Very sad to hear such stories.

I have seen this circulating the web before, now if it is right or wrong is totally on a cultures perspective. Early centuries this would have been acceptable to all. But now, we live in a modern society which is based on equality and human rights. There are proper ways of punishment most specially for under age violators. We cannot blame them if that is their way for that is their belief same as we have our own beliefs that we do not want others to change.
