How to remove old scars in the legs?

I have this friend of mine who has a lot of scars in her legs. She is so depressed. I told her to apply ointments but she said that she always does but the scars won't fade. She had this when she was still 8 years old and now she is already 19. A certain insect bit her that caused the scars. Can you suggest anything or any way that will remove her scars in her legs? The less expensive way maybe?

I have several scars myself, and some of them are on my legs. I have had them for years. Sadly, scars aren't something that you can really get rid of. You just have to live with them. I don't like having my scars, don't get me wrong. I'd prefer not to have them at all, but I know that they're not really going to go away. That someone will always be able to see my scars. And I have accepted this fact. I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but it's just the way scars work.

No, I'm not losing hope. I know that some will become less apparent. They just really don't bother me a lot anymore. I've had scars for so long, that I've accepted them.

I remember coming across a product in the pharmacy that is for the purpose of removing scars; can't really remember the name of the product though. The product was supposed to contain ingredients that help to maintain the moisture content of the skin and also to stimulate the skin to grow and repair. If I am not mistaken, the product came in the form of a gel or ointment. Anyway, as you mentioned, your friend has tried different methods that has not worked to remove her scar. Maybe if nothing works, she would just have to be happy with the scars there because certain scars might not be able to be removed at all. Probably ask her to go to the nearest pharmacy and seek the help of a pharmacist, or she can go to the doctor and ask for advice as well. Wish her all the best!

i think there are rose hip oils that you can use to lessen the evidence of a scar anywhere. it is just used and is applied to the affected area. try to search for it.

you cant get rid of scars as they are the bodies scar tissue's I had an operation to remove my appendix when I was about 10, I am 34 and the scar is still there. They do fade with time but takes a long long time, tho my best mate has a scar from playign rugby on his left cheek and he uses make up just to disguise it and it works wonders. Has she tried that ?? Or you might try bio-oil but not sure how effective that is as if its a scar then its the bodies scar tissue and that just takes time to heal.

Concealer maybe? Yeah, I already heard about the bio-oil and I suggested it to my friend. I'm not sure though if this one works..
