Mac or Windows?

Which one do you think is best and why? Which one would you recommend to a friends?
I really love the competition between Mac and PC and it can also get very intense. Have any of you seen the new PC advert which involves a girl speaking about a $1000 budget and that it's not enough to buy a decent Mac?
I think Macs are great and OSX is much better than Vista/XP. I have an iMac 24" at the moment and have had it since December, all the time before that I was using Windows. In my opinion it was really worth the swap :) What about you guys?

Pc, because currently Nveda, is only supported by pc. This means the framerate on a mac will be somewhere around 20 fps. While on the Pc with the same video card, it will be up to 60 fps. If you don't care about games, get a mac, but i don't know why you would spend a grand if you didn't want to game?

Windows is the best for computing while mac sux because it is very expensive for an operating system and hardware.

Mac is the best, but the cost don't justify the effective performance of the configuration...
Mac is the best because use a proprietary software, and no have to load many driver at the boot.
But for make all i prefer a Mac, with MacOSX, Windows XP on parallels and a distro Linux.

ive always used windows since i bought my first pc , i think it gives gr8 experience , but someday when i grow up i would like to buy a mac pc 4 sure, but they r too costly i guess , but ive heard that they give gr8 computing experience , so u see im a quite confused becaz ive only seen only on thing and before saying the other i cant give u my disission.
