When you start a discussion in My Lot, do you take into account the fact as to what topic might interest the members or post whatever you feel like.Do you ever try to figure out which topics bring more response from My Lotians.I sometimes wonder what common interest tropics are those which makes most of the people around here participate in posting a response since they share the same interests.

When I start a dicussion, which doesn't happen every day, it just 'happens'. I don't think about starting one at all, I just get an idea that pops into mind and I start it.
I hope it will be of interest to someone but I never start off with the idea that it must be for everyone or for a particular interest. In fact sometimes I even have to think a lot about which interest to place it.
I don't place a lot of attention on strategies at all - I just have fun with whatever happens on a partiular day.
Happy Lotting!

Hi there. Well, when I started out myLot-ing, I used to start discussions of common interest which, I believed, would receive lots of responses. However, I soon discovered that if you put too much thought into the discussions that you start, there would come a time that you'd run out of ideas on what "productive" discussions to start. Which is why, these days, I more often start discussions on specialized interests (e.g. tennis, e-bay, etc.) since I find it easier to express myself when I'm talking about something I'm genuinely interested in. Of course, I get fewer responses for these topics but these responses mean much more to me since I actually care about what other people have to say and make it a point to reply to anyone who responds to my discussion. So yeah... I mean, earning is all well and good but we must always give ourselves a break and simply enjoy.

I like to start a discussion every now and again. I do like to take into account as to what a lot of people might be interested in and sometimes that can bring a lot of responses.
It is always nice to receive pieces of advice or just good overall feedback. It can be very helpful.
I also take into account the interests that I have in my profile and figure on how many people might have my same interests. And then I start a discussion based on what others might like to reply to.
It is all a part of participation in my way of thinking.
I like to respond to topics that I like and sometimes others have something that they can contribute to mine.
It can be fun sometimes.
