Well if I am broke and I need some money in a hurry I will go to the pawn shop and get a loan. I will list something for sale, or do some of my instant payout sites. What do you do when you need some money in a hurry?

If I would need money for an emergency, I would prefer to lend money from my close friends than to loan for money to avoid paying interest. I don't use to go to pawn shop because I could also pay for interest which is an additional cost.

If I'm broke and need money in a hurry I will cash in my change or sell something online. I try to keep at least $20 with me until each payday just in case I happen to need something such as milk, eggs, bread, etc. Luckily my husband and I both get paid weekly from our full time jobs. This way we don't have much time in between paydays. So less worry that way.

It seems like I am always in need of some quick cash. I don't really have anything that I could take to a pawn shop and pawn, so I have never been to one. I do sell some stuff on eBay in addition to my regular eBay stuff when I am in need of some cash though.

I have a little savings that i can pull out whenever i am broke. But i think i am afraid this will happen to me. My savings is already plan for december 2009 expense and not just that early yet. so i always make it a point to save or spend minimal amount everyday.Sometimes i need money and there are friends who can lend me, sometimes i will just try to make money using the items i have at house. i remember when i am so broke 2006 and i need to have a money to use for applying a job, i sold my own dress, blouses and belts. And it went good, but after that incident i dont want to feel so broke again, so i really save a little " saving for the rainy days" happy mylotting and smile always!

Yes, pawn shop is where I would be headed. There are a lot around our way at the moment. There seems to be new ones since the credit crunch hit.. - Derek

When I am broke and need money right away, it seems that the Lord will send me a blessing that I did not expect. Just this week, my husband and I were down to our last $7.00, and lo and behold, someone paid him for services that he provided to them. It allowed me to pay a few bills. We are now back to where we were, but I have faith that something will come in soon. I have never gone to a pawn shop before.

we have in the past gone to the pawn shops with my hubbys tools years ago when times where tight... right now in our economy we are tight with money but with me not working --well just started this whole work at home thing-- we either borrow from our mothers and pay them back little at a time if we have to. Luckily we have them if we need them...but we try not to if possible.

Hi moneymommy..In todays world its pretty easy to get money if you need some. I would never borrow from friends. I dont think this is a good idea and if anything were to go wrong, it could lead to bad friends. There are many cash advance stores around now that even lend money to people on welfare here. Its not hard to get at all. However, I do have a credit card that I keep empty incase of emergencies. ALso I have many times had yard sales when I needed to make a few dollars. That is my favourite thing to do in summer
