At this point be careful what you believe that you get on the news. Any News. Be especially careful with anything you hear that has anything to do with our economy improving. A lot of this will be coming out soon to try and boost the stock market. They started it a couple of weeks ago and this gain in the market this past week is the result. Watch the unemployment figures and failing businesses. They are trying to deceive the people into thinking things are better than they actually are. Even the unemployment figures will be given out less than what they actually are. They have been doing this with the inflation rate for years. Wall Street runs on the opinion of the people concerning the health of our economy. Obama found that out real quick and changed his tune.

How wonderful. Somebody else gets it. Another attempt to create false security. It'll work, too.. people nowadays are more concerned with lame things like american idol, it isn't like anybody would care that we're being controlled, and eventually, taken over..

Exactly.... They are leading us a tiny step at a time right where they want us to go. They are now using our own tax dollars against us. They are telling the banking system, GM and others "either you do what we tell you or you don't get the money". That sounds a lot like black mail to me.

Yo, I'm sending a friend request to you. It'd help to have someone as informed as yourself kickin' knowledge around this world gone soft.

I don't need to know any more than the state of my own business and I am just wrapping up the best March I've ever had. If things were as bad as you are making out, my book selling business should be going under and it's doing better than it has in twelve years. So, I'm just going to get ready for the Spring auctions with a positive attitude and that's not false security. The art acutions have surprised everyone with some record breaking prices and I see no reason why antiquarian books can't do the same.
Also, I've noticed that the real estate market in the Philadelphia area is definitely on an upswing. Houses are selling again. I do the volunteer sales for my local library and we are geting calls for cleanouts. We hardly had any last year because most people waited out the market but now things are moving again.
It's not as bleak as you are predicting. There are definite pockets of hope out there.

My question is "What kind of books are you selling"? I'll bet there is a good market on all books that deal with self-help. My advice to you is don't get too comfortable. If you are not real careful this will all get around to you too sooner or later. There is nothing wrong with a positive attitude but don't let it over rule your common sense.

Hey there, Irisheyes, tee hee, I'm Irish, too.. but I digress. There are pockets of hope out there, you're most certainly right.. do you know, though, what they might be..? It's us. We are the only "hope" that this nation, nay.. this planet, has to look foreward to. It isn't my intention to make anybody worry, but I myself am quite worried, so perhaps that conclusion was inevitable. We, the right-infringed members of society.. members of humanity.. are the only hope for this place. I intend to keep posting nothing but what some may consider to be "hate speech" against our governing hands, but hear me, now.. Don't allow my wording to decieve you, I do not hate this country, or it's people.. However, I strongly dissagree with the way things have become, and the way they may soon approach.
