Is it just me, or does it seem like Hollywood is just running out of ideas? There used to be a time, when I would eagerly await the next cenimatic phenomenon, but now, all there seems to be splashed on the silver screens, are tired actors/actresses, one dimensional characters, and lackluster plots. I've recently been made aware thare there is to be a sequel made of Congfu Panda, Night of the Museum, and a Dragon Ball Z movie; not to mention the much awaited Hanna Montana movie. Now tell me, should we honestly be paying 10 bucks to see such movies? Could not a straight to dvd suffice? But no, Hollywood seems to know that no matter what people will pay for the garbage they choose to generate on the big screens. I propose that perhaps, it is time for a new generation of screen writers.

remake after remake after frackn remake.
and half the time they ruin the movie when they redo it.

Yes, Yes, and Double yes! They are SO running out of ideas; and of course, movies today aren't quite as original or exciting as movies from the 80's and maybe even early 90's - now all Hollywood cares about is ratings & having the most A-List celebrities appear in their movies. It's quite ridiculous. That's why sometimes it's better to watch indie films or something at least with a little more PURPOSE to it than just to make money (although sometimes these can be dumb too).
I didn't know they were making a Night at the Museum 2. That's aggravating..lol, because I really loved that movie.
By the way, welcome to myLot!
