Isn't it ironic?

I can understand that Mylot wants to keep their users. And I can understand that they want to advertise to get more users...but isn't it ironic the strict rules they have about advertising other sites for referral points/money they have on Mylot discussions. After all, didn't we all get referred from other paid to post sites? And other sites are not so strict with their guidelines....and usually people who advertise other sites here are loyal members to the lot.... I just think if we were allowed to do this, within limits of course, more people would help make Mylot more user friendly for those who are serious about online earning. I have found several sites using this as a Networking site...and have made countless posts non referral related. A little give and take right? What do you think?

Well, they do have these Rules set here for a reason, and in a lot of ways it is to cut out Spam for sure. I know it can be annoying as it would be nice to find New people to sign up under us for some of the many things we are doing, but then at the same time that area would become the biggest Spam area maybe as well. Personally I feel they do need an area added here where we can post our Sites we do, and our links just to give others a chance to know what is out there. Even if they chose to do this without paying us for it, it would be a Big help for most of us for sure. Just my thoughts.

Indeed, it seems that such a policy is irony at its finest. Yet, isn't that how the river flows through most aspects of life? Yet to their credit, they have yet to remove your observation. I suppose, there is much to be said about being given such a boon.

i can see both sides of things. with people using other sites, it cuts out time you could be using mylot instead, so i can see how they would take this into consideration. you are right though, and have some good points. i think that, within limits as you mentioned, we should be able to post our referral links, and i wish the rules were different. however, since it IS mylot's rules, and most likely not subject to change, i will keep my mouth shut about it(disregarding this post, obviously lol), and just follow the terms and services i agreed to when i registered.
