I can't believe it.. Well really I can. I knew the day would come and I figured it would be sooner then later. Sure enough the time has come where my very good friend Ashley is getting married. Last night Ashley called me and asked me to be her brides maid. I felt so honored that she would ask me FIRST. She wanted my opinions on who would be in the bridal party but I kept trying to tell her it is her day. The only thing I did give her advice on was: She has a daughter, and one of our friends have a daughter and the other friend is most likely going to be asked to be a bridesmaid. So she was thinking having the 2 girls. I told her I would rather see it be all for her daughter that day since its just as much her day as it will be hers. So I think she liked that I never told her yes or no about her choices just I suggested it should be a thing for her daughter to cherish the moment. I have so much to look forward to I can't wait. The wedding date that they are hopping for is July 24th 2010. What are some things I could look forward to being a brides maid? What are some crazy wedding moments you remember? What did you like most about being part of the wedding? Do you still talk to the people who were in your wedding/ in theirs? Did you have a emergency on your wedding day or on a friends wedding day? How many weddings have you attended? What did you like and dislike about them? Just looking for some input about weddings. I haven't been to very many only as a child. So what can I look forward to?

It's in next year and I have much time to prepare. Try to cheer your friend ( I think it's easy for you as you're the first one she thinks of for this important day). But, don't try to show that you're more beautiful than her, I witessed a bride getting jealous with her bridemaid in the wedding and it was really a nightmare.

Well congratulations in advance! It is nice to be a bridesmaid. I have been there when I was 14 years old and that feels exciting. You have to prepare for that by having a full body make over where you will feel more beautiful and attractive. The best part of the wedding for me is food, souvenirs and invitations. I just had a civil wedding so I have not tried to be married in church yet. My Aunt got me as her maid of honer way back 2001 and I was 14 during that time. Her brother, my uncle got me as a bridesmaid last 2005 in his wedding. So I have two experiences of being one of the guest in a wedding and walking the aisle. I have no emergencies because I really prepared for their respective weddings. The only thing I dislike about wedding is the mess left after eating in the reception which happens to be the houses of my two grandmothers.

Being a bridesmaid is a huge honor. Congrats.. I am sure the wedding will be great.. I have been a bridesmaid twice and a maid of honor twice.. I still talk to all of them.. All there weddings were good. The only thing was at 1 of the weddings the food was terrible and at the other the music was terrible. Both those things I consider very important at a wedding.. Also when I got married my husband had a son and he was one of the best men... So I think its very important to include her daughter as much as she can.. Well enjoy the wedding planning.. It should be fun

Congratulationgs! To be brides maid is a very happy thing . Even today ,I have attended the wedding of ten times. And the most memorable one is 2005 in China's Henan my best friend's wedding . That was my frist journey for to be her brides maid. I was excited like you . I my opinion ,nothing is more precious than friendship .so, I deliberately take a train to Henan, to make her bredes maids. My dear friend was very pleased. Wedding day , early in the morning ,Me and her together with her make-up. She dressed as we want the most beautiful bride. All people said that bride really pretty .

not sure you heard about that not , is all about Chinese, our chineses if married we need to find as much bridesmaid as we can ,and we will find some trick to ask the groom to answer and we can't open the brides door untill he give us a red package with money inside ,and we useully ask them to pay $9999 ,is because 9999 in our Chinese call forever ,but end up the groom only give $99 .and when he answer wrong we will punish him to let him drink chili or sour drink , wasabi,if not we would give them the door key, and we asked his brothers and groom dance infront the door or say something touching untill the brides say she hear it. hopefully you enjoy it .
