Because of the world crisis, is it really advisable not to be "choosy" in finding a job? That we must grab every opportunity that knocks even if there are things that needs to be considered? Why is that?

I totally agree with that. This is the worst time to use "pride" in finding a job. Grabbing these opportunities whatever they are, even if it's not the way you planned it doesn't mean you're gonna stay there for life and not move towards what you really want.

Thanks for responding. I'm having a hard time looking for a job nowadays maybe because I am considering a lot of factors like the schedule, the type of work, the company stability which is really important. I don't want to be in that company and did everything just to be laid off. I'll take your advises. =)

Yeah, I understand. I also want to shift career right now, but it's so hard to get a job even here! I'm so bored here in the office! arrgh!

Hi there. Well, considering that good jobs are hard to come by these days, I guess we don't really have the right to be choosy. However, having good qualifications may help you land decent enough jobs. I guess the key is to be open for negotiations with prospective employers and to make them feel how much you want the job.

I would say it's just because there are less jobs on the market right now, and so obviously, if we want to land one, we can't be as picky as we might be otherwise.
