It is like this situation. You are at the office and you want to check for your favorite site, but unfortunately the network administrator blocked the site, what will you do? Do you used proxy sites to enter a blocked sites or you will just visit the site outside during break or out of office time?

Awhile back I found a program that you put on your flash drive and it makes a back door in your office's servers and you can search anything. Proxy sites do work but are limited in what they can do. If I find this program again I'll message you the link. It is very useful for sneaking onto myspace at school xD

I have been looking because I lost the program on a computer crash so I can't really access anything at school. Don't worry I'll message it to you when I find it.

Well, I would prefer to use proxies as they are simpler and avoid the chance of you being found out doing funny thing with your office or school's server. Luckily, I have full access to my office's server, so I dont have to worry about having blocked access to any sites.

Will my friend to frankly speaking I hardly get any time to check other websites when I'm in my office. But he is definitely as I'm a Web design and my field of work depends a lot on different websites and so most of the time my machine is not blocked with any kind of websites by the system administrator. So basically I have never faced such a problem and so I never used any proxies to bypass the same.
But I would suggest others not to use such methods because if it is not allowed in your company when you're not supposed to do that. And if you are caught doing the same then it can be a very precarious situation.
Why do you want yourself to be in danger for such a small thing which is not even worth it. If you mails are important enough then the company will not blocked them the any means. And also if you're performing then you can always challenged the system administrator be saying that if you want to work I am giving in the work you give me deliberately. But again to a certain extent it do depend on the company policies.
But he is there are few people who misuse such liberties and that is the reason why others have two suffer.

I try to find another way of accessing that site without using the same blocked website address :) There was a time when I couldn't access YM because it was blocked, I ended up using meebo instead. I think I'd even go as far as make my own local program just so I could bypass the security :P
Thanks for the response on my discussion!
